Honored
Last Thursday I noticed that I was suddenly getting lots of e-mails from WordPress saying that I had new followers on this site. I knew that a few things had been pinned from here, so I thought maybe that was the reason. Thursday night, I logged on and found a comment from Heidi, the editor-in-chief of the Pediastaff blog, saying that I might want to check out a link.
I was shocked to find that Say What Y’all was included in an ASHA (ASHAsphere) blog post called The Best Speech-Language Pathologist Blogs from A-to-Z. My jaw about hit the floor! I started this blog to keep track of my thoughts and ideas about therapy, professional development, etc. If other people read it and it helped someone with ideas, that would just be a bonus. I never dreamed it would be recognized by ASHA or by people like Heidi.
I must admit that being recognized has been a kick in the pants to post more often and a reminder to try to maintain quality content. I make no promises about posting frequently since I have a busy life outside of the therapy world that includes 2 young kids and a husband. I do promise that I will continue to challenge myself to post quality therapy ideas, parent tutorials and other speech-language related information.
Thanks, Heidi, and thanks, ASHA! I’m proud to post this awesome badge!
