Sticker Sticks

A few days ago, I was procrastinating some paperwork being creative and decided to make a new reinforcer to use with my kiddos. Easiest thing ever:

You just need 30 craft sticks, an index card, 6 different chart stickers (6 of each) & some tape.
1. Put 5 of each chart sticker on the end of craft sticks & wrap a little tape around it to keep it from peeling off.
2. Draw a 2×6 grid on the index card & put one of each sticker in the corner of each square.
3. Laminate the card.
4. Put the sticks in an opaque container (a cup, can, etc).

Now – when you’re ready to use your new “sticker sticks”, just use a vis-a-vis pen to write on the card. Write whatever you want the stickers to mean. My examples are points or artic levels/cues. You could put anything on them, though – EET prompts, wh- questions, etc.

I used these today with my artic groups & they loved them. If I had enough sticks & stickers to match, I might make these to go with a theme unit too!

This is great! This time of year, I am definitely looking for new, easy ways to change up therapy a bit that travel well (8 schools to visit in a week!). Thanks for the new idea!
