Blooming

Today is my last day at this school. My family is packing up and moving to another town. I haven’t found a job there yet, so it’s a big leap of faith for me. I’m nervous and excited, sad and happy all at the same time. This morning, my amazing assistant Kerrie gathered all of my students on the stage to take a picture and give me this beautiful canvas. The flower is made of their thumbprints and they all signed the back. Kerrie titled it, “Blooming Because of You”. It was one of the most amazing moments of my career and I will cherish both the painting and the memory forever.
